The Women of UMAB (Union of Agro-miners Women of Buenos Aires by its acronym in Spanish).
Objective:
Support 50 women miners becoming formalized while strengthening their environmental stewardship capabilities to promote environmentally responsible mining practices in their territory.
Outcomes:
- Engagement with the community and dissemination of project results.
- Formalization and access to legal gold supply chains for women miners.
- Strengthening the environmental management capacities of women miners to promote a mercury-free and environmentally friendly ASM.
