Council Members Share Actions, Resources, and Ideas To Create a More Inclusive Economy

September 3rd 2024 – ARM announced today that Gina D’Amato, Executive Director of LATAM, has joined the Council for Inclusive Capitalism.

The Council for Inclusive Capitalism is a global nonprofit organization that joins moral and market imperatives to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and trusted economic system that addresses the needs of people and the planet.

“Joining the Council for Inclusive Capitalism enables us to amplify our efforts in supporting responsible artisanal and small-scale miners around the globe. This partnership reflects our deep commitment to foster best practices in ASM communities inclusion, environmental conservation, and contributing to a sustainable future. Together, we can inspire real change and help build a brighter, more equitable global economy”  -Gina D'Amato Executive Director for the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM) LATAM.

The Council for Inclusive Capitalism is rooted in action. Upon joining, new members share resources and ideas that will catalyze action in the economy that advances the inclusive capitalism movement. Private sector members, called stewards, commit their organisations to specific, measurable actions to operate in ways that advance a more inclusive capitalism.

Each commitment is mapped by industry, region, and business size and is mapped to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and World Economic Forum Sustainable Value Creation Pillar. The Council for Inclusive Capitalism is a hub for private sector actions and resources for others to learn from and put forth their own actions. The result is a community of ideas that advances the most impactful private sector practices at scale.
