ARM and Fairtrade International are currently reviewing the Fairtrade and Fairmined Standard for Gold from Artisanal and Small-scale Mining, including associated precious metal to improve facilitation of artisanal and small scale miners’ market access and sustainable development of livelihoods.
Please use these documents if you wish to participate in the consultation:
1. DOC-1 – Summary of proposed amendments and questionnaire
2. DOC-2 – Full standard amendments for comment
3. DOC-3 – Further explanation of proposed amendments
These standards are still a suggestion. Before approving them, we invite you to analyse the proposal, comment on it and send us your feedback. We invite you to clearly explain also the rationale behind your suggestions. With this consultation, we expect to obtain an overview of the impact of the revised standards on your activities.
In order to send us your feedback, please answer the questions at the end of the consultation document. While this will not take you more than (20 minutes), your contribution is very important and will help to achieve the best possible outcome. In answering each question, feel free to use as much space as needed. Moreover, your suggestions can include proposals that differ from the options presented. Any other comment is also welcome.
