From the 26 to the 29 of March 2012, ARM met with miners and support organizations from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and other international actors from the iniciative in the workshop Red LAC – 2012 in Santa Fe de Antioquia, Colombia.
The main goal of this workshop was to revise the standards and share experiences gained so far. The active participation and the impressive level of motivation of all the participants led to some interesting and important discussions. ARM is happy with the high number of attendees at the workshop; not least the participation of new friends from mines that are currently working to obtain the certification. All in all, it was a fruitful event in which everybody enjoyed the sharing of experiences and lessons learned in the first year of the Fairtrade and Fairmined certification system.
