Development of a methodology for the formalization, improvement of access to financing sources and improvement of gold ore processing in Cameroon

The project aims to facilitate the formalization of pilot mining communities in the Akom II and Ngoura regions, as well as the introduction of best practices in their operations.
- Support of mining communities in matters of governance and organizational formalization with advice for the creation process of 10 cooperatives.
- Sensitization on occupational health and safety issues and access to financing, more than 200 trained miners.
- Testing of more efficient, localy manufactured gold separation sluices with technical assitance (four times faster processing capacity and 50% more recovery).
- 2 training sessions for the agents of the mining agency on the practical methodologies related to the accompaniment of the ASM Organizations towards formalization for their future replication
