The foundation Fundación Ayuda will be supporting us in 2018 to promote a national network of women miners in Colombia.

During this initial diagnostic phase, ARM will seek to:

• map out and identify female leaders and networks of associations;
• characterize and identify the main existing gender gaps in ASM;
• empower women leaders and foster an exchange of experiences among associations of gold panners on the subject of gender.

This study will be carried out through focus groups and the participation of women leaders in regional exchanges to identify gender gaps and arrive at a joint vision of the role of women in artisanal and small-scale mining.
